The role of transport in the development of the tourism sector of Russia

The article examines the current state of Russia's tourist transportation system, emphasizing the importance of integrating transport in territorial development and ensuring a sustainable flow of tourists. It analyzes the impact of economic sanctions on transportation infrastructure and its connection to the development of the tourism industry. Key aspects of tourist transport are discussed, alongside changes in its structure and functioning in the context of the modern economic situation. The authors emphasize that to successfully develop domestic tourism, it is necessary to modernize the existing infrastructure, which often does not meet contemporary safety and comfort standards. The article provides statistical data on the state of transport networks, as well as indicators of passenger transportation by types of transport. The negative consequences of sanctions for the transport sector and the insufficient funding for the modernization of transport infrastructure are highlighted. The scientific rationale for the problems and the proposed solutions allow for the identification of priority areas for state policy in the development of Russia's tourist transportation system. The article serves as an important contribution to studying the interrelationship between transport and tourism, as well as a tool for formulating an effective development strategy in this field in the country.
