Unifying Quantum Mechanics and General relativity: An Information-Geometric Blueprint for a Testable Theory
The unification of physics requires a framework that not only reconciles quantum mechanics and general relativity conceptually but also provides a clear, falsifiable path to empirical validation. This paper presents such a framework, founded on the principle that a single scalar field, Φ, represents the underlying informational potential from which physical reality emerges. We outline how the dynamics of this field lead to quantum mechanics and general relativity in their respective limits. Critically, we directly address the theory's current limitations by proposing a structured roadmap to move beyond them. This includes (1) a dedicated program for empirical validation via astrophysical and quantum experiments, (2) a theoretical path to derive the field Φ from first principles, (3) a plan for the development of a full quantum field theory of Φ, and (4) a strategy for robust numerical simulations in 3+1 dimensions to connect theory with observation. This work serves as a blueprint for transforming a conceptual model into a complete and testable theory.
