A Comparative Study on Fragility Analysis of Steel and Concrete Structures
Abstract: The fragility analysis of structures plays a crucial role in assessing their vulnerability to seismic and environmental loads. This paper presents a comparative study on the fragility analysis of steel and concrete structures, highlighting their respective strengths and weaknesses under various loading conditions. The study utilizes probabilistic methods and performance-based engineering techniques to evaluate the fragility curves of both structural types. The findings offer insights into the structural reliability, failure mechanisms, and potential retrofitting strategies to enhance resilience. Keywords: Fragility Analysis, Steel Structures, Concrete Structures, Seismic Vulnerability, Probabilistic Methods, Structural Reliability
