Abstract: This study examines the socio-economic development of the Kokna community in Palghar District, focusing on key indicators such as income levels, livelihood patterns, financial access, expenditure, and asset ownership. Data was collected through a structured questionnaire administered to community members, including locals, teachers, students, and individuals engaged in various occupations such as agriculture, wage labor, and small businesses. The questionnaire captured demographic information, educational background, economic status, and challenges related to education, livelihood, and access to resources. The research assesses household earnings and explores primary occupations, including agriculture, animal husbandry, handicrafts, and wage labor. Additionally, it investigates access to financial resources such as credit, savings, and microfinance, which influence economic stability. The study also evaluates expenditure patterns related to essential needs, including food, education, healthcare, and agricultural inputs. Land ownership status, housing conditions, and the number of dependents per household are analyzed to understand living standards. This research provides insights into asset ownership, including livestock, vehicles, and agricultural equipment, as indicators of economic well-being. Based on the findings, the research proposes policy recommendations aimed at enhancing the socio-economic status of Kokna households through improved financial inclusion, livelihood diversification, and infrastructure development.
