Without a healthy society, since it has been established in various studies that there exist connection between environment and health, sustainability achievement will be difficulty. Purposive and cluster sampling technique were adopted to select the study areas, with 400 respondents selected. Self-designed questionnaire was administered which were subjected to reliability test with the test retest method of 0.85co-efficient. The hypothesis was tested using independent sample t-test. The study shows that the challenges associated with environmental noise in rural and urban communities in Lagos is statistically significant an indication that environment noise is a clog in the wheel of achieving sustainable green environment. Grounded on the intensity and knowledge of health impacts of environmental noise, the study recommended that government should urgently embark on reconstruction and retooling of educational approaches towards environmental challenges and impacts as to enthrone clean and friendly environment that will promote healthy living.
