Performance Of Pelton Turbine Under Various Speeds and Heads
This paper presents an experimental study on the performance of a lab-scale Pelton turbine under varying operational conditions, such as different head values and rotational speeds. The aim is to evaluate the impact of these parameters on output power, efficiency, and specific turbine parameters. The study reveals that the turbine's performance is highly influenced by both the head and speed, with the optimal efficiency observed in the range of 1000 to 1500 RPM across different heads. These findings contribute to a better understanding of the Pelton turbine's operational range, providing valuable insights for optimizing turbine design and performance in hydroelectric power plants
