Development Priorities and Current Problems of the Agricultural Sector in the Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur Economic Regions of Azerbaijan

The article examines the priorities and current problems of the development of the agrarian sector in the Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions of Azerbaijan. The strategic role of the agrarian sector in the country's economy is considered and justified. The priorities for expanding the activities of the agrarian sector in the newly created Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions in the liberated territories are determined. The development prospects and problems of the agrarian sector, which is a traditional sector of the economy, in the modern era are considered in a comprehensive manner. The issues of more efficient organization of the directions of activity of the agrarian sector based on high technologies are analyzed and evaluated. Recommendations are prepared and proposals are made for the intensification of the development of the agrarian sector in Karabakh and East Zangezur in the near and long term.
