REFRAMING INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS IN THE ERA OF ALGORITHMIC MANAGEMENT AND AUTONOMOUS WORKFLOWS: TOWARDS EQUITABLE LABOR GOVERNANCE IN AI-AUGMENTED, PLATFORM-DRIVEN EMPLOYMENT ECOSYSTEMS

The acceleration of algorithmic management and autonomous workflows has transformed contemporary employment ecosystems, particularly within platform-based gig economies and AI-augmented enterprises. Traditional industrial relations, rooted in human-centric oversight and collective bargaining, now confront new challenges posed by opaque decision-making systems and decentralized management paradigms. This paper explores the implications of algorithmic control mechanisms on labor dynamics, fairness, and governance, proposing an equity-centric framework for reframing industrial relations. Through an interdisciplinary approach that integrates sociotechnical analysis, regulatory discourse, and labor rights advocacy, the research emphasizes the need for adaptive governance to ensure just and transparent labor practices in the age of digital automation.
