The Role and Contribution of E-Resources in Advancing Academic Libraries

Abstract Library services have changed a lot because of new technology and the rise of Library 2.0. Printed books and journals are now often replaced by electronic resources, leading to the creation of digital libraries. These e-resources allow users to quickly and easily access large amounts of information from databases around the world, even from far away. This study looks at why e-resources are important, the different types available, and the problems users might face when using them. It also shows how these resources can help students and researchers do well in their academic work. Electronic resources (e-resources) are now an important part of libraries because of new digital technology. These include things like e-books, online journals, databases, and videos that can be used anytime and from anywhere. They help students, teachers, and researchers by giving fast and easy access to useful information. Many people can use the same e-resource at the same time, which is better than using just one printed book. However, there are some problems, like the high cost of subscriptions, the need for internet, and helping people learn how to use them. This study looks at the types of e-resources, their benefits, the problems they face, and how they help people do well in their studies.
