Comparative Study of Wind Analysis On High Rise Buildings
Abstract Wind analysis of buildings, whether high-rise or low-rise, is commonly conducted using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations and wind tunnel experiments. This study compares these two methods, specifically using ANSYS CFX for CFD and traditional wind tunnel testing. The objective is to analyze wind pressure, drag, lift, and flow streamlines on structures with varying shapes and heights. While CFD is a computer-based simulation, wind tunnel testing is a physical experimental method. Additionally, this paper explores how different incident angles impact wind effects when buildings are designed to rotate within the study setup.
