Artificial Intelligence's Application in Geography

Abstract: Along with the continuous development of artificial intelligence technology and the extensive utilization of machine learning technology in the past few years, the study orientation of geographic science has experienced a fundamental transformation. It is now a crucial issue in geography to effectively and precisely extract the inherent laws for these huge, varied and multi-dimensional data. At the same time, through a thorough research of geographic information systems, a more rational planning and layout in urban and rural building, traffic control, industrial transfer, and other fields of human geography can be achieved. This paper is centred on the application of different machine learning techniques in different geographical environments, including the atmosphere, geology, hydrology, and natural disasters in natural geography. Humanities such as urban and rural planning, agricultural production, and tourism geography such as GIS, RS, GIS, Beidou are also important study object.
