The Changing Climate: A Threat to Human Life and Ecosystem
Abstract: Climate change is one of the most pressing global challenges, affecting both human societies and natural ecosystems. Rising global temperatures, unpredictable weather patterns, and an increase in extreme climatic events are disrupting biodiversity, endangering human health, and threatening food security. Climate change has profound environmental consequences, influencing ecosystems in numerous ways. The impact of climate change on a particular species it can travel through a food web and affect a wide range of other organisms. While some stressors may have minimal effects in isolation, their combined influence can lead to substantial ecological shifts. Furthermore, the effects of climate change on various societal sectors are interconnected, amplifying the overall impact. This paper explores the far-reaching consequences of climate change on human life and biodiversity, identifying major challenges and suggesting effective mitigation and adaptation strategies
