A VISION FOR RELIABLE POWER SYSTEMS: PREVENTING MALOPERATION IN SUBSTATIONS

Substations are critical components of power systems, housing numerous electrical equipment that are essential for energy transmission and distribution. However, the current substation accident frequency remains high, posing significant safety risks. To mitigate these risks, intelligent maloperation prevention systems have been implemented, but operational issues persist, especially regarding the monitoring and real-time tracking of power equipment and facilities. One key challenge is the inability of existing systems to track the status of operation tickets and monitor critical equipment location data in real time. This leads to potential oversights during the execution of actions such as reversing operations, resulting in reduced operational efficiency and reliability. Furthermore, operators face increased pressure due to the complexity of power systems and the lack of an integrated solution for operational monitoring. This study proposes the design and development of a high-performance substation integrated smart maloperation prevention system. Such a system aims to enhance the operational stability and efficiency of substations by providing real-time monitoring capabilities and improving decision-making through advanced technologies
