EXAMINING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS' ATTITUDES TOWARDS SCHOOL AND CAREER ANXIETY LEVELS

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between high school students' attitudes towards school and their career anxiety levels. The sample of the study, in which the relational survey model was used, consisted of 384 high school students studying in Afyonkarahisar province in the 2023-2024 academic years. During the research process, the data were collected with the “Attitude toward School Scale” (OSAS) and “Career Anxiety Scale” (CAES). In the analysis of the data, frequency, percentage, standard deviation, mean, independent sample t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson correlation coefficient calculation and simple linear regression analysis were performed. As a result of the study, high school students' attitudes towards school and career anxiety levels were determined as medium level. There was no significant difference between high school students' attitudes towards school and career anxiety levels, and the relationship between them was found to be negative and moderate. A significant difference was found in high school students' attitude towards school and career anxiety levels in terms of gender, grade level and socioeconomic level variables. It was determined that high school students' attitudes towards school did not significantly predict their career anxiety levels.
