Reevaluation of the Planck Scale in a Discrete Framework (v.20250304)

This paper proposes a reevaluation of the Planck scale by considering space as fundamentally discrete. Unlike a truly discrete dimension, the Planck length l_P appears to function more as a limit imposed by quantum gravity rather than as a fundamental unit of space granulometry. This distinction challenges the classical approach of constructing areas and volumes by simple multiplication of l_P. Instead, we suggest that a Planck surface should be defined as l_P ×1 m and a Planck volume as l_P ×1 m ×1 m, ensuring consistency with indivisibility. Furthermore, we propose that, due to its fundamental nature, l_P should be interpreted as a radius rather than a diameter, as the latter implies a midpoint, which contradicts the indivisibility principle. Using shape correction factors (π/2 for areas and 3/4π for volumes), we establish a consistent metric for discrete space, motivated by the natural geometric distribution of energy within constrained regions. This work has implications for quantum gravity, black hole thermodynamics, and the nature of fundamental spacetime structure.
