Towards Enhanced Computational Efficiency with HPC Tools in LAGO
The Latin American Giant Observatory (LAGO) project is a collaborative effort to advance research in astroparticle physics by detecting high-energy astrophysical events such as gamma-ray bursts, solar flares, and cosmic rays. Given the significant computational demands of simulating these phenomena, LAGO relies on high-performance computing (HPC) systems to ensure efficient and timely analysis. This poster will present the methodologies used to analyze execution time and resource usage from simulation logs on HPC platforms, identifying bottlenecks and opportunities for optimization. By evaluating key performance metrics such as throughput, scalability, and resource utilization, we aim to provide insights that improve simulation efficiency and enhance scientific research capabilities. Additionally, the poster will discuss challenges, limitations, and future directions for optimizing LAGO simulations on HPC systems, highlighting the importance of data-driven analysis and performance enhancement strategies in accelerating scientific discovery.
