Analysis on Challenges and Issues in IoT Environment Using 5G
The introduction of 5G technology has opened up new possibilities for the Internet of Things (IoT), allowing devices to communicate faster, with lower delays and improved efficiency. The ultra-low latency and high bandwidth of 5G enable real-time data processing and seamless connectivity across industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, smart cities, and autonomous transportation. However, integrating 5G with IoT also presents numerous challenges that must be addressed to ensure widespread adoption and effectiveness. Key challenges include security risks, as the large-scale deployment of IoT devices increases vulnerability to cyber threats such as hacking, data breaches, and unauthorized access. Scalability and interoperability also pose significant hurdles due to the diverse range of IoT devices and communication protocols used across different industries . Additionally, the high costs associated with infrastructure deployment, including the need for more base stations and fiber-optic networks, can limit the accessibility of 5G-enabled IoT solutions. Energy efficiency remains a concern, as many IoT devices rely on limited battery life, and the high energy consumption of 5G networks can further strain power resources. Regulatory and compliance issues add another layer of complexity, as different countries have varying standards for data protection, spectrum allocation, and environmental concerns related to electronic waste. This paper discusses these challenges in detail. By addressing these issues, businesses and governments can unlock the full potential of 5G-powered IoT, paving the way for a smarter, more connected world.
