This study examined the influence of teachers’ communication skills on students’ learning at Mindanao State University-Sulu Senior High School. Specifically, the researchers aim to conduct this study with these objectives. First, to determine the demographic profile of respondents in terms of strand, second, is to determine the perceived influence of teachers’ communication skills on student learning, and lastly, to determine the significant difference of the perceived influence of teachers’ communication skills to students’ learning when the data are group according to strand. Moreover, utilizing descriptive comparative research design, the study surveyed 120 randomly selected students using a validated and reliable questionnaire adapted from Obilor (2020) that served as the primary data-gathering instrument. The findings revealed that students generally agreed that their teachers exhibit effective communication skills, with verbal clarity, use of mother tongue, nonverbal cues, and encouragement of feedback being positively perceived. Notably, the use of the mother tongue received the highest median rating. The study concludes that teachers’ communication skills significantly enhance student learning and the academic strand may affect how students perceive these skills. It is recommended that continuous professional development be provided for teachers to further refine their communication abilities, ensuring a supportive and effective learning environment for all students.
