An Existential Argument for Rational Agents to Support Anarchism/ Liberalism
This paper explores the relationship between individual core values and political structures, particularly anarchism and a more pragmatic form of social liberalism. It argues that if most rational agents hold central values that do not contradict these systems, then supporting them is beneficial for maximizing the realization of individual values. Furthermore, if a minority opposes anarchism or liberalism, they have an existential right to do so. However, the majority, following their own core values, also has an existential right to oppose this minority, leading to a self-sustaining dynamic in which anarchism or social liberalism is reinforced through collective action.
