REFLECTIONS ON THE SCOPE OF URBAN PUBLIC COMMUNITY AND MOBILITY EQUIPMENT

The distribution of community public facilities and mobility infrastructure within the urban territory is a key issue in contemporary planning, particularly due to its direct relationship with socio-spatial justice and the quality of the residential environment. This article aims to identify dimensional parameters that guide the efficient location of these services in relation to residential areas, with an emphasis on service coverage radii. The research adopts a bibliographic approach with a comparative analysis of technical parameters, grounded in the systematization of spatial and regulatory data from national and international sources. The investigation led to the definition of metrics compatible with the Brazilian urban context, with potential application in public policies, master plans, and housing programs. The findings reveal a lack of standardized regulations within Brazilian planning frameworks and underscore the need to incorporate technical and territorially-sensitive criteria into urban planning processes. It is concluded that the use of such parameters can enhance the distribution of public infrastructure and strengthen the alignment between governmental action, territorial equity, and urban quality of life.
