Revolutionizing Indian Agriculture with Big Data, IoT, and Neural Networks for Enhanced Productivity
Abstract: The agriculture sector remains a fundamental pillar of India's economy, employing approximately 46.1% of the workforce. However, its contribution to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has declined to 17.66% in FY 2024-25, highlighting challenges related to sustainability and productivity. To counteract this decline, the integration of Precision Agriculture is crucial. By utilizing emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data analytics, and Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs), farmers can enhance decision-making and optimize resource management. These innovations enable real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, and data-driven farming strategies, leading to improved productivity and long-term sustainability. This study explores the impact of Precision Agriculture on enhancing agricultural efficiency and in revolutionizing India's agricultural landscape. The domain focus of this research is examining the potential of Precision Agriculture. It highlights how emerging digital tools can bridge the efficiency gap, ensure better resource management, and contribute to economic growth in the sector.
