Long-Term Salt Operation Management Project for the Hides Gas Conditioning Plant
Abstract: This paper addresses the management of salt operations at the Hides Gas Conditioning Plant (HGCP), focusing on the operational challenges of salt precipitation. The initiative draws on case studies to establish an efficient system for salt removal within the manufacturing plant. The goal is to develop a feasible solution for HGCP by analyzing the current challenges related to salt accumulation and reviewing the latest designs implemented worldwide. Collaboration with the on-site engineering team is essential for this project, as it involves constructing a comprehensive salt removal system and consulting specialists for equipment selection, pricing, and total costs. The methodology includes a detailed cost analysis of the proposed solution compared to existing expenditures on maintenance, equipment cleaning, and waste management associated with salt issues. Based on this comparative research, senior management receives a recommendation regarding the advancement of the proposed salt removal program. The objective is to enhance the reliability and efficiency of HGCP by implementing a cost-effective and technically feasible salt operation management system.
