Global Voices, Local Realities: Rethinking Language Policy for Equitable and Accessible Multilingual Education among Engineering Students
Abstract As the world becomes more connected, schools that train engineers need to adapt the way they teach so that students from diverse language backgrounds can learn. The study explores the crucial interconnection of language policy and multilingual education at engineering schools. The ultimate goal is to ensure equal opportunities for learning. The analysis of language policies is global and local. It also discusses the challenges faced by engineering students who are multilingual and offers recommendations for policies that will make schools more inclusive and functional. The investigation utilizes a combination of literature reviews, policy analysis, and case studies from several multilingual countries to develop a comprehensive set of parallel resources, addressing the influence of foreign factors.
