Cultural Sensibility in R.C. Shukla's Ponderings
This paper traces the cultural sensibility in R.C. Shukla’s Ponderings. The poet in Shukla feels grieved when he sees the degeneration of culture because of the influence of alien culture which attempts to destroy its roots. Sex, which is not merely a physical affair but a spiritual affair of soul, does not degenerate but becomes a medium to achieve the stage of sublimity. He longs for a cultural world where spiritual virtues of love, affection, tolerance and peace reign supreme.
