The session, titled "Moving Open Research Forward: The Role of PIDs and Open Metadata," explored how persistent identifiers (PIDs) and open metadata play a central role in advancing open research practices. It highlighted global use cases and demonstrated how these infrastructures support discoverability, transparency, and collaboration across the research ecosystem.
