DNAesthetics: Mathematical Principles of Natural Aesthetics Genetics, Waves, Numbers and Harmony
The sense of aesthetics in humans is an improbable chaotic, polymath and multidisciplinary river which takes its source in Chromosome 1 of the human genome. Formed by a long DNA sequence of multiple judiciously spaced copies of the DUF1220 gene, from this river of aesthetics will emerge a sequence of standing waves whose numerical sequence of frequencies would seem erratic and insignificant. However, it appears that this suite (5 7 12 19 31...) is known in the musical world of New Orleans jazz under the name of Evangelist suite [17]. We then demonstrate that it results from the combination of the Fibonacci and Lucas sequences, the key to the Harmony of the golden ratio. From another sequence which is symmetrical to it then emerges the number 432, linked to the key pitch of harmony: 432 Hertz.
