Informational Efficiency in the Observer-Resolved Universe
This white paper introduces and formalizes the concept of informational efficiency within the Observer-Resolved Universe framework. The theory proposes that reality unfolds through observation-triggered ripple resolution across a 4D informational structure. This paper explores the idea that ripple resolution does not occur arbitrarily, but tends to follow the most efficient available path—minimizing ripple cost while maximizing informational balance. Efficiency is defined here in terms of a ripple efficiency ratio (η), representing the relationship between resolved complexity and the effort required to collapse tension. This principle may help explain the emergence of structure, symmetry, and nested observers across physical and cognitive scales. This paper is a conceptual supplement to the broader Observer-Resolved Universe theory. The foundational framework is presented in the companion white paper, The Observer-Resolved Universe: A Framework for Informational Reality.
