Explanatory Factors of Cotton Production in Solenzo of Burkina Faso
Abstract: The study explores the determinants of cotton production in the commune of Solenzo, a cotton-producing region of Burkina Faso, for the year 2020. This paper aims to identify the key factors that significantly influence this production, by examining the economic and material aspects. The central issue is to understand how various elements, such as concomitant crops, agricultural tools and means of transport, impact cotton production and what implications this has for local producers. Results show that corn and sorghum productions, as well as the use of weeders and plows, have a significant effect on cotton production.
