THE STAGES OF DEVELOPMENT OF LEGAL CONSCIOUSNESS AND LEGAL CULTURE AND THEIR SIGNIFICANCE IN SOCIETY

This article analyzes the essence of the concepts of legal consciousness and legal culture, their place in the life of society, and the stages of their development. Legal consciousness is the collection of citizens’ legal knowledge, understanding, and values, while legal culture is the level of manifestation of this knowledge and values in practical life. The article examines how legal consciousness and culture have been formed through historical stages, how this process developed during the years of independence, and also the need to raise legal awareness among youth and the general public in the current time. In the final part, proposals and recommendations aimed at improving legal culture are presented.
