IP4OS Milestone 4 - Survey protocol: exploring best practices in intellectual property (IP) and open science (OS)

This protocol describes the methodology for a cross-sector survey on best practices in aligning intellectual property (IP) with open science (OS). Targeting stakeholders across academia, industry, policymaking, and legal domains, the study gathers perspectives on practical challenges, strategies, and institutional approaches. It employs a structured online questionnaire, with optional follow-up interviews, and uses mixed-methods analysis to inform policy, training, and the development of the Synergy Framework under the Horizon Europe IP4OS project.
