TOPCAT for Heliophysics

TOPCAT is an established desktop GUI tool for working with tabular data, with a large user base in astronomy. Many of its capabilities however, including very flexible exploratory visualisation of large datasets, are equally applicable in neighbouring fields such as heliophysics. The recent addition of a HAPI client, as well as its full-featured TAP client, and compatibility with numerous file formats including CDF, provide a direct interface to many heliophysics services and datasets. This presentation describes how TOPCAT can be used for acquisition, visualisation and analysis of heliophysics data products.
