Simulation and analysis of MSEPIC Converter Topology for Reducing Torque Ripple of BLDC Motor
Abstract: Brushless DC (BLDC) motors have been widely used in a number of low- and medium- power applications such as robotics, aerospace, automotive electronics, home appliances, and medical. In BLDC motor, armature current cannot be commutated immediately due to the influence of the armature winding inductance, which leads to the generation of current ripple. The torque ripple due to the current ripple is the main drawback of a BLDC motor that generates speed oscillations, vibrations, and noises. So it is important to reduce the torque ripple in order to ensure smooth operation of BLDC motor.
