IOT Based Cpap Detection of Sleep Apnea and Monitoring of Health Parameters

Sleep is a crucial aspect of a person's overall health and well-being, as it helps rejuvenate both the mind and body. Poor sleep has been a long- standing issue for many individuals. Those with various health conditions often face sleep disorders, such as sleep apnea. In fact, some people even pass away during sleep due to abnormal changes in their body during rest. Most existing systems designed to monitor sleep issues are unable to address real-time problems, as they typically collect data after a certain period of sleep. Real-time sleep monitoring is essential for detecting sleep apnea and managing conditions like asthma. To address this challenge, an IoT-based real- time sleep apnea detection system has been developed for acoustic monitoring. This system enables users to track various sleep metrics and receive alerts through a cloud application when any abnormalities are detected. The monitoring process does not disturb the sleeper and displays the data on a cloud platform using a Wi- Fi module. The system uses multiple analog sensors connected to an ESP32 to measure various sleep parameters. The collected data is shown on the ESP32 monitor and within the cloud application. By analyzing this data, the system can identify sleep apnea occurrences and even provide insights into the potential causes behind it.
