D1.4 Report on deficiencies in instructional design models
A 13 question survey was used, which included (i) suitability for engineering education and virtual laboratories, (ii) content development and lecturing processes, (iii) multidimensional and multicultural aspects, (iv) innovation aspects and (v) assessment and evaluation processes. Preliminary analysis includes listing the deficiencies of the IDMs and summarising the results to determine the potential deficiencies of these instructional design models (IDMs). A total of 2 focus group sessions were conducted. The 1st focus group consisted of the experts who had conducted the preliminary analysis of the shortcomings of selected instructional design models, and the 2nd focus group consisted of the same experts plus external experts (engineering instructors) from the same country. In total, 18 instructors from 8 countries (Türkiye, Greece, Ireland, Latvia, Slovenia, Italy, Spain, and Azerbaijan) contributed to the focus group meetings and the final report on identifying deficiencies in the instructional design models.
