The POSITIVE Impact Challenge Playbook
The POSITIVE Impact Challenge Playbook is a comprehensive guide that consolidates key methodological insights from the Open Innovation Challenges carried out by POSITIVE project partners from February to April 2024. Designed for organizations such as social business support groups, innovation agencies, RTOs, universities, and public authorities, this digital resource enables them to replicate the POSITIVE Impact Challenge model to support innovation and the digitization of social enterprises in their regions. It offers a step-by-step guide for setting up and executing Open Innovation initiatives, while also providing recommendations for public authorities on fostering collaboration between social and tech innovation ecosystems. The Playbook includes an overview of the POSITIVE project, explains the role of Open Innovation, introduces the POSITIVE Impact Challenge Model, and provides an actionable framework for designing, launching, and managing challenges that directly address key social sector issues. The Playbook seeks to promote the wider adoption of the POSITIVE Impact Challenge model, empowering more organizations to implement impact-driven innovation and fostering long-term positive outcomes. Further, the Playbook includes targeted policy recommendations derived from workshops held by project partners in the three participating countries. These workshops produced regional roadmaps that assessed ecosystem integration and identified actionable steps for collaboration, with insights directly informing the policy recommendations outlined in this Playbook.
