Therapeutic Drawing: Practice of Play-Flow-Freedom
This article explores drawing as a powerful tool for therapy, especially when combined with play, flow, and freedom. It explains how a playful attitude helps people draw without fear or self-judgment, making it easier to explore feelings and ideas. The state of flow, being fully absorbed in drawing, supports calmness, focus, and emotional clarity. Freedom in drawing allows honest self-expression, which can support healing and personal growth. Based on qualitative analysis and case studies, the study shows that these three elements greatly strengthen the therapeutic value of drawing. The findings are useful for visual artists, art therapists, and educators, and also offer a clear framework for further study in art therapy and visual art research.
