Low-Cost Construction by Using Bamboo as a Construction Material- A Positive Energy Efficient Option

Bamboo, a rapid growing and adaptable plant, offers a sustainability and cost- effectiveness alternative for construction, mainly for low-cost housing. Its high flexibility, compressive strength, and tensile strength make it suitable for various building applications, including homes, buildings, and bridges. Bamboo’s use in construction can significantly reduce the carbon footprint compared to traditional materials like steel and concrete. Our project explores the potential of bamboo as a positive energy-efficient option, highlighting its benefits in terms of sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and social impact. By leveraging local resources and community involvement, bamboo construction can enhance the durability and resilience of structures, making it a viable solution for affordable housing in tropical and subtropical regions. Other than all the materials already in practice, bamboo satisfy the requirements more. Hence, bamboo is used for construction. .

Abstract

Hence, bamboo is used for construction. .
