The Fine-Structure Constant as a Dimensional Harmonic Ratio: A Geometric Origin for α from Recursive Phase Structure

The fine-structure constant α ≈ 1/137.036 governs the strength of electromagnetic interactions yet has no derivation from first principles in conventional physics. In this paper, we propose that α arises naturally as a harmonic ratio in the recursive phase-space topology of Sixta Theory. By treating α as a ratio of phase-locked electromagnetic twist energy to total dimensional harmonic amplitude, we offer a new origin for this constant rooted in chirality and recursive resonance. This model opens paths for explaining potential α-variation and observer-relative coupling strengths.

Abstract

The fine-structure constant α ≈ 1/137.036 governs the strength of electromagnetic interactions yet has no derivation from first principles in conventional physics. In this paper, we propose that α arises naturally as a harmonic ratio in the recursive phase-space topology of Sixta Theory. By treating α as a ratio of phase-locked electromagnetic twist energy to total dimensional harmonic amplitude, we offer a new origin for this constant rooted in chirality and recursive resonance. This model opens paths for explaining potential α-variation and observer-relative coupling strengths.
