HISTORICAL REFERENCE OF ICHTHYOPATHOLOGICAL STUDIES OF COMMERCIAL FISH SPECIES OF THE LAKE BALKHASH
Fisheries play an important role in providing the population with basic foodstuffs. Fish is a source of essential amino acids, polyunsaturated fatty acids, which are essential for human life. However, in some cases, fish and fish products are a source of infection of humans, domestic and wild carnivores with diseases of various etiologies. With mass infestation of fish with parasites and infections, the pathogenic effect on the fish organism increases, which leads to a decrease in the fish productivity of the reservoir, due to the loss of marketable appearance and death of fish. Identification of pathogens and determination of the degree of infection of fish by them is necessary for the subsequent decision on the possibility of food or other use of raw materials or products. Since 2024, work has been carried out in the main fishery reservoirs of the Republic of Kazakhstan to determine the current epizootic situation in order to develop comprehensive measures to reduce the risks of mass spread of contagious fish diseases. To write the article, stock materials of SPC RH LLP for 2002, 2009-2013 were used. Research on the issues raised in the article is funded by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Grant No. BR23591095).
