Etymology This species is named after the pre-eminent British primatologist Jane Goodall whose work on the chimpanzees of the Gombe stream in Tanzania pioneered new methods of primate field studies and established that chimpanzees too fashioned and used tools, forever obliterating this criterion as a marker distinguishing humans from other animals, and her subsequent studies demolished other such shibboleths. The name is treated as a noun in the genitive case. Diagnosis Hadronotus goodallae sp. n. is distinct in having hind wing projecting posteromedially.
