Assessment of knowledge, attitude and practice of infection prevention and controls among health professional students at Puntland State University, Galkaio Campus; Galkaio Puntland Somalia 2023.

Abstract Background: Infection prevention and control is a critical component of the invasive medical procedures. The Same control measures are also recommended in any healthcare organizations to prevent the spread of infection. For colonization to occur, microorganisms must exist and reproduce without invading or harming surrounding tissue. A cellular reaction is now triggered by the invading microbes, which is what infection entails. Placing barriers between vulnerable hosts (someone lacking effective innate or acquired defense) and the microbe is critical to infection prevention.
