AI Memory and Gifted-Inspired Learning
Beyond Memory: Designing an AI That Thinks and Learns Like a Gifted Mind How can an AI memory system evolve beyond simple retention and become a dynamic, adaptive intelligence? This research explores Elastic Weight Consolidation (EWC), a biologically inspired algorithm that preserves past knowledge while learning new tasks, and integrates it with principles of gifted neurodivergent cognition. By merging neuroscience, cognitive flexibility, and AI architectures, this study rethinks memory as an active, evolving system rather than a static repository. The goal? An AI that doesn’t just remember, but reconfigures, adapts, and applies knowledge across disciplines—just like a highly gifted mind.
