COGNITIVE ALCHEMY: PROBING EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE'S ROLE AND ADAPTIVE LEARNING CAPACITIES IN AI-DRIVEN TRANSFORMATIONS OF THE AUTOMOTIVE MANUFACTURING SECTOR
Abstract This study aims to explore the impact of cognitive alchemy, where EI is included into the learning process and added to AI in the context of automotive manufacturing sector transformation. Based on cognitive psychology, machine Learning, and industrial Engineering, this study questions, how and through what ways EI enhances AI ambidexterity collaboration in manufacturing. Variables: Cognitive ability Emotional stability Employee cynicism Risk management learning capital & AI ambidexterity Employee opinion Business performance SEM of independent variables cognitive ability, emotional stability, employee cynicism, risk management, learning capital on business performance through the mediator of AI ambidexterity was carried out on a sample of 196 from the automotive manufacturing sector. It was followed by the analysis of correlation, use of regression analysis, and mediation analysis. Regarding the research hypotheses, the findings show that emotional stability has a positive and a direct effect on AI ambidexterity and business performance. This is because from the analysis it was evident that if emotional intelligence skills are promoted and if manufacturing organisations embrace learning-oriented culture, then the effectiveness of AI in manufacturing will be endowed. Its findings can be of great use for decision makers in automotive businesses and organisations, to inform choices regarding the implementation of new technologies, the skill and training needs of the personnel, and the aspiration towards the improvement of organisational culture for the purpose of attaining competitive advantage in the automobile manufacturing domain dominated by AI applications.
