SURAH AL-BAQARAH - A Neurospiritual Hermeneutics Autopsy of Scriptural Control
This forensic neurocognitive report applies Neurospiritual Hermeneutics to Surah Al-Baqarah, interpreting it not as a theological discourse but as a liturgical architecture designed to install obedience, condition identity, and internalize surveillance through ritual exposure. Building on prior analysis of Surah Al-Fatiha, this second case file in The Unsealed Series examines how Al-Baqarah functions as a neurocognitive infrastructure that governs belief through repetition, legal injunctions, and eschatological threat. Drawing from Polyvagal Theory, Schema Theory, and trauma neurobiology, the report interrogates the chapter’s impact on neurodivergent and trauma-shaped nervous systems—bodies more susceptible to sensory overload, rigid schema adoption, and autonomic dysregulation. Each verse becomes a behavioral script; each moral binary, a somatic imprint. Rather than framing faith as a chosen assent, this analysis exposes how liturgical structures encode behavioral conformity at the expense of agency, especially for those neurologically wired to resist coercive order. The report concludes with proposed exit strategies—clinical, somatic, and epistemic—for reclaiming neurocognitive autonomy from sacred systems of control.
