Exploring Epigenetic Adaptations in Deep-Sea Organisms to Extreme Pressure and Temperature
Deep-sea organisms thrive under extreme conditions of high pressure and low temperature, which pose unique challenges to cellular and genetic stability. This study investigates the epigenetic mechanisms that enable these organisms to survive in such harsh environments. Using genome-wide methylation analysis and histone modification profiling, we identified key adaptations in genes related to stress response and energy metabolism. Findings reveal that epigenetic plasticity plays a crucial role in modulating gene expression, allowing for physiological resilience in extreme conditions.
