D2.7 Community-endorsed quality assurance and certification framework for professional training and qualifications - final version
This deliverable provides the latest iteration of the Skills4EOSC Quality Assurance Framework (QAF) for Open Science professional training and qualifications. Delivered by T2.4, it offers a reference framework (not a prescriptive model) to assure the quality of training materials and resources, based in four stages or sub-frameworks important in the context of Skills4EOSC project’s principles and philosophy: Minimum Viable Skillsets, FAIR-by-design methodology and Ethical, Legal, and Social Issues (ELSI), in conjunction with a comprehensive evaluation framework and already existing learning resources catalogues. The document is a finer approach to establish a set of attributes and useful questions for assessing the training materials at the course-level granularity created by Skills4EOSC. It should also be a useful reference to analyse the quality of any other Open Science course. To come up with the final version of the QAF this iteration of the deliverable lies on the first iteration deliverable D2.3. methodology of analysis for four sub-frameworks with indicators, clarifying notes, best practices and evaluation mechanisms, in order to develop a broader discussion with the stakeholders. This deliverable extends the content of D2.3 by providing an improved set of indicators and solving some of the challenges identified in the first iteration deliverable such as levels of compliance and additional implementation proposals (with an informative, user-friendly Checklist & Guide and a self-assessment app).
