LEXICOGRAPHIC INTERPRETATIONS OF LANGUAGE CORPORA
This article analyzes the role of language corpora in the process of lexicographic research and dictionary creation. Linguistic corpora provide real language data and are an important resource for determining word meaning, frequency, context, and variants. Also, modern lexicography includes such processes as creating new dictionaries, classifying phraseological units and tracking neologisms based on the principles of corpus linguistics. In the study, the possibilities of using national and parallel corpora are also considered in the example of Uzbek and English languages. At the same time, the advantages of corpus-based dictionaries and their use in terms of translation, synonymy, and stylistic aspects are highlighted.
