THE INFLUENCE OF STRESS ON THE PERCEPTION OF COMMANDS IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK

This article analyzes the role of stress in the perception of commands inEnglish and Uzbek. The study examines the phonetic, psycholinguistic andpragmatic features of stress revealing similarities and differences between the twolanguages. Stress and intonation affect the perception of commands, in what casesthey are expressed as gentleness or firmness and are also analyzed from the point ofview of cultural and linguistic features
