Winnertzia curvata Panelius 1965

Winnertzia curvata Panelius, 1965 Morphological identification Jaschhof & Jaschhof (2013, 2020b). The present project found, apart from the genuine W. curvata, several discrete curvata -like species, all likely unnamed, whose morphology is generally similar. One of these, here labeled W. sp. MJDE5 (BIN BOLD:ACR2981), was reported earlier as occurring in Sweden (Jaschhof & Jaschhof 2020b). The others are W. sp. MJDE45 (BIN BOLD:ADS9670), W. sp. MJDE46 (BIN BOLD:ACP8789), W. sp. MJDE47 (BIN BOLD:AER2276), and W. sp. MJDE48 (BINs BOLD: AEI1006 and BOLD:AER6232). DNA barcode CO1 sequences (653bp) of the two specimens detailed below are available in BIN BOLD:AEI1062. A search in BOLDʼs BIN Database retrieved no further result for this BIN (accessed 25 Aug. 2023).
