ENHANCING ALS TEACHERS' EFFECTIVENESS THROUGH FOCUSED TRAINING ON EDTECH TOOLS IN THE DIVISION OF AGUSAN DEL NORTE
This study, titled "Enhancing ALS Teacher’s Effectiveness Through Focused Training on EdTech Tools in the Division of Agusan del Norte," examines the impact of targeted training on Alternative Learning System (ALS) teachers' proficiency with educational technology (EdTech) tools. Addressing the skills and knowledge gaps among ALS teachers, this research aims to enhance their ability to integrate EdTech tools effectively, ultimately improving educational outcomes for marginalized learners. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, data was collected through Likert-scale surveys that measured teachers' knowledge, skills, attitudes, frequency of EdTech usage, and perceived training impact. Statistical tools, including correlation analysis, were employed to identify trends and relationships among these variables. The findings indicate a generally positive attitude toward EdTech tools and moderate proficiency in their implementation, though troubleshooting and consistent usage challenges persist. Based on these results, the study proposes "Project TECH-UP," a structured initiative to enhance EdTech skills through hands-on training, peer support, and reflective practices. This intervention aims to bridge identified gaps, foster sustainable technology integration, and promote instructional innovation among ALS teachers. The research highlights the importance of sustained professional development to reduce the digital divide, align ALS instruction with global educational trends, and serve as a scalable model for EdTech training in other regions.
